Specifically Pioneer Leadership will impact:
Participants
On a very real and practical level, participants will develop insights
that will further their ability to effectively lead not only their own
organizations but to positively influence our community. While other
opportunities to explore leadership are available in the marketplace,
Leadership Edmonton offers an experience like no other. The hands-on nature
of the learning experiences will offer participants opportunities to explore
their personal perception of leadership and to focus on areas of interest to
both themselves and the community while studying the patterns of past and
present leaders.
Leadership Edmonton is also unique in its potential to build connections
between emerging leaders from all sectors of our community. The program not
only opens new doors for participants; it provides them with new
perspectives and understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing
their peers.
Employers and sponsors
By supporting the participation of emerging leaders within their
organization, employers will realize significant and tangible benefits. The
unique set of leadership competencies and insights that program graduates
will bring to their organizations will empower them to become an invaluable
driving force behind the evolution. The competencies developed through
participation are the same ones organizations typically have a difficult
time improving.
By sponsoring a participant, organizations are recognizing their aspiring
leaders. Your organization will benefit through increased knowledge that
will be shared within your workplace. The new information brought to your
organization by the participant will add to the collective leadership of
your workforce.
Your employee participants will deepen their networks with community
leaders, increasing your organization's community involvement, and enhancing
your public profile.
Our communities
Communities are energized through the leadership of committed individuals
who understand how things work and can take action to do the things most
needed. Leadership Edmonton's experiential journey through the Greater
Edmonton community will expose emerging leaders to the diversity of thought,
cultures, visions, and issues that make up our communities.
Leadership Edmonton will expand the quantity and quality of experienced
leaders in our community.
There will be a deeper understanding of community issues, a greater
sensitivity to community diversity, and a new ability to lead and take
action on community challenges.
Leadership Edmonton will help build new connections across business,
government, not-for-profit and voluntary organizations leading to a common
and collaborative ground for a healthy and sustainable Greater Edmonton
community.
