| 2. Recommend to others: |
All the participants would recommend the program to others. Most indicated that they would take the program again. (One participant invited her mother to attend.) |
| 3. Length of program: |
A variety of delivery options should be available. This might include two Saturdays, the Saturday/Sunday option, week nights, etc. |
| 4. Facilities: |
The facility used was the Bill Rees YMCA at 10211 - !05 Ave. The building was not the best choice as it required security on the weekends |
| 5. Child care |
Childcare was provided for children over two years of age. Parents with infants should be supported in this area as well. |
| 6. Transportation |
It was important to have a central location in the city centre so that the participants could travel by bus and LRT. Bus tickets were provided to those in need. |
| 7. Elders/Culture |
Participants said that it was very important to have Elders present and available. They benefited from their stories and ceremonies. |
| 8. Strengths: |
Facilitators/mentors; cultural context; Elders; application to personal, work, education and family |
| 9. Suggestions: |
meet more often; better facility; later start in morning on weekends; maybe retreat format where participants stay together over a couple of days |
